IMPORTANT NOTICE
New treasury department regulations now require the owners of closely held companies to disclose Beneficial Owner Information about their companies to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) a branch of the Treasury Department. The information can be filed online through FinCEN’s website. Companies that existed prior to Jan 1, 2024, must file the information before Jan 1, 2025. Any new company formed after Jan 1, 2024, must file the information within 90 days of formation. Failure to file the information may result in stiff penalties. We will be writing all of our clients for whom we are the registered agent with additional information, but if we are not your registered agent, be warned and complete your reporting.
